Conference Theme & Vision
Welcome to the first international DeafTech conference!

DeafTech 2026 is a space where technology meets deaf experiences, creativity, and critical reflection. As technology increasingly shapes how deaf people communicate, learn, work, and engage with the world, this conference goes beyond traditional tech development and evaluation. It centres the ways deaf people design, hack, adapt, and experience technologies in diverse ways.

DeafTech 2026 brings together deaf researchers, designers, developers, advocates, community members, and industry partners to explore the relationships between deaf people and technologies. We welcome submissions that cover the full spectrum of technology: from design, development, and evaluation to real-world use, experience, and societal impact.
