Who can attend?
DeafTech 2026 is a deaf-only conference.

Will there be virtual/hybrid attendance options?
No, DeafTech 2026 is a fully in-person conference. There is no remote participation.

How can I sponsor DeafTech 2026?

Registration

How do I register?
Registration opens in November.

What is included in the registration fee?
Full conference access, access to Closing Ceremony, appetizer at Closing Ceremony, digital proceedings access.

What is the cancellation or refund policy?
Once paid = paid. There are no refunds or cancellations.

Submission and participation

Can I present at DeafTech?
Yes! We accept full research papers, short papers, posters, demos and workshops/panels. Please see the [Call for Papers].

What are the deadlines?
The submission deadline is 8 December 2025. Check the [Call for Papers] for more information.

Will accepted work be published?
Yes it will be published Open Access in the DeafTech 2026 proceedings.

Do I need to anonymize my video submission?
No, that only applies to written submissions.

Accessibility

Will sign language interpreters be provided?
No, there will be no interpretation IS/English or other (signed) languages. The conference language is International Sign.

Will there be live captioning?
We are exploring the option live captioning for selected sessions.

I am a deafblind participant. Can I bring interpreters?
Sure - please contact us.

Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users and people with accessibility needs?
Yes. The venue has step-free access, elevators, and accessible restrooms on all floors.

During the conference

Where do I pick up my badge?
At the registration desk, open daily from X to X.

Is there childcare?
No.

Can I record or photograph sessions?
Attendees are welcome to record short snippets or take photos for personal or social media use. Full session recordings are not allowed. Deaf media companies should contact us in advance.
